The NCHRD-U has a protection fund which among others provides emergency legal services to Human Rights Defenders at risk that need urgent legal support which includes bail, bond, mediation, follow ups and verification of any legal issues, legal representation for any immediate action that is urgent. To manage this NCHRD-U has a Memorandum works with Uganda Law Society through their probono advocates who are located in various districts in the country; Soroti, Jinja, Kampala, Luweero, Fort portal, Masindi, Gulu, Arua, Mbarara, Kabale and Moroto.
